turtles

Brent and I took a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last week. It was a very relaxing trip. We did nothing in very warm weather. Every day it was in the 80's and 90's. One of the days there were baby turtles just hatching from their eggs on the beach. It was so exciting. The people at the hotel put the turtles in a tub until 6:00 pm and then about 50 of us helped release the baby turtles down closer to the water. This picture is of me holding two of the baby turtles. It was such a fun experience. For some reason I have always liked turtles, I remember being a little girl and love seeing the huge turtles at the San Diego Zoo, and then always having desert turtles in our yard.
Here's some of the turtles in the tub.
This picture is at sunrise, Cabo had such beautiful sunrises, Brent took this picture one morning while we were walking along the beach of a man fishing in the ocean.
I did not take away pictures of Brent and I together, like I said we did pretty much nothing and taking too many pictures would of required us to do something. This picture is right out our room.
This picture out of our room at the hotel we stayed. It was a great relaxing time.

birthday treat

This year for my birthday I got a flag pole and flag. I was so excited. I love being able to see the flag each day to remind me of the wonderful country we live in. I am thankful for the many men and women that have helped make our country free. This first picture is Kyle and Brent putting up the pole and flag. Also I used this picture to show how big our little puppy is getting.
This picture is Kyle and Brock having fun. This weekend Brock flew home to watch one of Kyle's football game.
I have loved looking out my windows a watch the flag waving in the wind.
What Brent had to do to install the pole was pour a cement pad with a hole the size of the pole, then let it set up, the pole it self sides up and down to bring the flag.
We are eating at Grandpa and Grandma house, it was delicious. We had Mexican food, with chocolate cream pie and coconut pie. It was such a fun treat to not have to cook on my birthday.

football

As you can tell we love our football games. This is a picture Grandpa Ellingson, Blake, Savannah and Brent. Kyle's team won, they were playing LaSalle. Grandpa Nelson was at this same game but left before I was able to get his picture. This next picture is of Kyle's game against Elmira, his team won. At this games Jared and Amy were there, (they were visiting from Utah,) but they had to leave early, Jared was not doing so well. So in the picture we have Todd's family that came to the game along with Blake and Savannah. I am going to have to have someone else take the pictures, (besides me), next game so Kyle will remember that I was at his games, just the one taking the pictures. Also in this game one of Kyle's team mates broke his arm, Jordan, he is the one who has the most yards and points for the whole team. We will have to see who steps up in the last three games of the season.
This picture is of Brock babysitting Max and Charly, Brock flew home for the week-end so he could watch one of Kyle's football games.
This picture is of Kyle's game in Estacada. Kyle's team won. It was a fun game, here are Brock, Savannah, Blake and Brent enjoying the game.

Racquetball anyone

The day Brent and I were in Provo Shawn and Brock were just finishing their racquetball class, Brent challenged them each to a game. Brent let them score about 15 points and then he beat them every time.

Fall Fun

When Brent and I went to General Conference we watched Brock play intramural football, Brock is wearing brown shorts. I would of liked to take a picture of Brock in motion but I never know just the right time to snap the shot. It was so fun to watch.
After the game, Carissa, Brock and Brent.
The same evening we went to watch Shawn race his remote control car.
Shawn's car is in the air. It was pretty fun watching the cars race.

Football Season 2009

Oops, I keep forgetting to turn the pictures before I put them on the blog.
Kyle's first game of the year. He played Woodburn, he did a great job. His team won, the score was "34 to 0". The number 55 was also Jared and Brock's number. Brent is sad to see his Friday night football games with his boys start to come to an end.

This picture is after the game.

Kyle's team, after warm-ups.
At Kyle's game Grandpa and Grandma Nelson, Blake and Savannah, Diane and O'Brien, Todd and his children. We all sat by each other, it was fun.

Fun Pictures

Brock and Kyle after Kyle's scrimmage football game. Last week Brock and Shawn flew home for a few days before BYU starts. We have not got to see Brock all summer he was in Pennsylvania selling APX alarm systems. We did not get a picture of Shawn, he was not around when I had the camera.

Stuffed Dog

Here is a picture of the patchwork stuffed dog I made this last week for Carissa. Carissa likes to save children's books, toys and clothes. I had fun sewing a project I have not did before. The scrap pieces of material are from the quilt I made Carissa for her wedding.

new puppies

We have new puppies. The black puppy (Cache) is Blake and Savannah's. The brown puppy (Mazie) is ours. They are just eight weeks old. We are keeping them together until they get a bit older. They are sister's. I forgot how fun puppies are to have, they are not old enough to destroy every thing in sight, but I am sure it is coming soon.
This is Mindy, she will not even look at the puppies. For two nights she would not even sleep on her bed because the puppies were by her bed, so we moved the puppies and now she will sleep on her bed. Why we wanted to get a puppy is because Mindy is getting older and we are hoping that a new dog will learn Mindy's good nature.

beach

Kyle, Davis, Brighton and Brax, I took them to the Lincoln City last week. The day before Davis had to leave to go home. On our way into town, poor little Brax had to jump out at the red light and throw-up in a parking lot landscape. After that he seemed to be fine the rest of the day. The weather was incredible.
We went to the beach, to the Salt Water Taffy store and then J's, the best chip and chips ever. On our way heading home we stopped at Devils lake. This is Davis holding a crawdad.

The boys posing for the picture. It was a nice relaxing day. I am so happy that we went.
