turtles
Brent and I took a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last week. It was a very relaxing trip. We did nothing in very warm weather. Every day it was in the 80's and 90's. One of the days there were baby turtles just hatching from their eggs on the beach. It was so exciting. The people at the hotel put the turtles in a tub until 6:00 pm and then about 50 of us helped release the baby turtles down closer to the water.
This picture is of me holding two of the baby turtles. It was such a fun experience. For some reason I have always liked turtles, I remember being a little girl and love seeing the huge turtles at the San Diego Zoo, and then always having desert turtles in our yard.

birthday treat
This year for my birthday I got a flag pole and flag. I was so excited. I love being able to see the flag each day to remind me of the wonderful country we live in. I am thankful for the many men and women that have helped make our country free.
This first picture is Kyle and Brent putting up the pole and flag. Also I used this picture to show how big our little puppy is getting.
This picture is Kyle and Brock having fun. This weekend Brock flew home to watch one of Kyle's football game.
I have loved looking out my windows a watch the flag waving in the wind.
What Brent had to do to install the pole was pour a cement pad with a hole the size of the pole, then let it set up, the pole it self sides up and down to bring the flag.
We are eating at Grandpa and Grandma house, it was delicious. We had Mexican food, with chocolate cream pie and coconut pie. It was such a fun treat to not have to cook on my birthday.
