Stauffer Farms
This is the third year I have volunteered to work at Stauffer Farms. This is just one of the buildings here on the farm (the grainier). Stauffer Farms was built in 1880 to a family with ten children. The house, barn, hog house, chicken coop and a shed are still standing after 110 years. March to June the Aurora Museum have over 4,000 4Th graders come to the farm for a field trip. We all dress in the era of time clothes and have all the children do projects, often the children say this is their favorite field trip. I only work on Tuesday, I really enjoy doing this.

This picture, well, I do not know how to turn pictures around
I talked Carissa into going with me one of the days she was here visiting us. It was so fun to be able to take Carissa and have her help.
I was able to talk Kyle into going with me the next week. Kyle even taught some of the classes. Thank you Kyle you did great. As you can tell I love having my family around. Last year Savannah helped one day and Amy came the first year. Brent has even came out to see the farm. Maybe Blake, Brock and Shawn will get a turn next year.
Graduation Day
Kyle posing with Jared right before he left. Jared and Amy are now living here right next door to Blake and Savannah. We are all so very excited to have them living by us.

Kyle at graduation, this is a very happy day for Kyle to be finished with High School. Blake and Savannah were not around before Kyle left or they would of got to be in the pictures. (sorry Blake and Savannah)
Because it was raining so hard all week Kyle's graduation was held in the gym instead of out at the football field. So each student got to only have 4 tickets to give to their family. With Blake, Savannah, Carissa, Shawn, Jared and Amy all here to go to Kyle's graduation and only four tickets for us all Kyle had to decide who was going to go. So Kyle sold two of the tickets for $40.00 and Brent and I went and everybody else went out to dinner together. Kyle wanted to know if he could sell Brent and my ticket too, I said no.

Pictures for May
This picture has a funny story. Brent, Blake, Savannah, Kyle, Brock, Shawn and I decided to go to dinner for Family Home Evening. (Brock and Shawn were visiting) We get to the restaurant and it is closed, we thought they must be closed on Monday's so the next night we go to the same place. It was closed again. We are now laughing at our selves for not finding out when they are open before we came, plus we drove about 12 miles to get there. Come to find out the restaurant is only open 11:00am to 5:00 pm. who would know that an eating place would close at 5:00 pm. We finally go at noon the next day and we got to eat.
Look close to the picture, this restaurant has about 50 plus trees from our farm, they traded us food for trees. It is in Mount Angel, they have great food, mostly homemade sausage dogs and on weekends they have great ribs. We just need to make sure we go when they are open.
Shawn's race car he got for his birthday, Carissa was still in Utah and she wanted me to take a picture for her.

This picture is at our Stake Scripture Chase. All our Seminary classes practice the scriptures during the year for this event. Here is Kyle with some of our class. We had 10 students from our class, it was a lot of fun, there were more than a 100 students participate this year. As a seminary teacher I was so nervous and excited for my class and they did great.
Also the Stake High Councilors and the Stake Presidency participate (just to add to the fun). It is so amazing how fast the students are. The past 20 years Brent and I have been to each of the Scripture Chases because Brent was first a High Councilor over Seminary's, then he was a Bishop, then the Stake Young Men's President and now the Stake President. We have have enjoyed them all.

Savannah's birthday, we put candles in the lemon squares that Blake made her. Look at Savannah's cute little belly barely starting to show. Her baby (boy) is due July 10th, we are all very excited.
At our High School there is a performance called May Day, for the last 75 years the students put it on, with skits, talents, Queen, Princess and all that. This year Kyle was in four different acts, and then every year the seniors dance a waltz with a parent. I have got to do this waltz with each of the boys in the family and Brent got to dance with Carissa. The pictures below are of Kyle in the three of the skits. Kyle is the one with gray hair.
Kyle again with the grey hair
Kyle dressed like a women with the lovely navy poke-a-dot dress and yellow sweater.
Kyle and I dancing the Senior Waltz with the other Seniors. This is one of my favorite memories of my children High School days.
Kyle is counting his days of High School. I thought I would be very sad, my last child soon to graduate, but it has not hit me yet. I am excited for Blake and Savannah's baby, excited for Jared and Amy to soon be moving back here for good, to help Kyle get ready for his mission.
Just for fun!
This is a picture of us at the Michael Buble concert, Brent, Blake, Savannah, Kyle, Lindsey, Russ, Karen and I went. It was great. I recommand anyone that has a chance to go see him to go. Our seats were perfect. Thanks to Blake.
