13 days old

Here's a picture of Porter, look how beautiful his complexion is, and how blue his eyes are.
Tummy time for Porter might not be his favorite time of day. He does like being held.

There is a field of orange poppies, a field of wheat and a field of multicolored poppies a few miles from our home. Last week Susan, (Savannah's mother) and I got to go with Blake, Savannah and Porter to take pictures of them in the fields. As Grandma's we had fun.
I just love this picture also. Being a grandma is incredible.

oops! friendship bread anyone?

10 days ago I got a friendship bread starter from my niece Heather. I have had some years ago and it was so much fun making the bread and giving the starter to friends each time a new batch of starter was ready. I made the bread yesterday, well I have a conviction oven that I need to learn to use, we have lived in our house 5 years and I only use the normal part of the oven. I preheated the conviction oven put the bread in and 30 minutes later (instead of 60 minutes like the recipe said) I could smell burnt bread. I was right, the whole crust was very burnt. As you can see in the picture I pulled of the burnt part and only ended up with a small little, but very tasty friendship bread. Brent suggested that I not show anybody that I give the starter to the picture. Because it is not really that picture perfect. If anybody would like a start to the bread let me know and I will give you some.
